Williams Sound Press Release
Williams Sound Premiers Motiva™ Personal FM System at AAA EDEN PRAIRIE, Minnesota—April 08, 2009—
Williams Sound premiered its sleek, “smarter” Motiva™ Personal FM System to hearing professionals at the 2009 Audiology Now Conference last week in Dallas, TX. The “smarter” personal FM System, Motiva™ offers audiologists ability to select compression and adjust frequency response for the specific hearing needs of individual clients.
Each model of the Motiva™ System features a 2.5mm stereo auxiliary input (MP3 devices, CDs, TV) plus a transmitter that can mix and broadcast the speaker’s voice and audio program, simultaneously, in one room. 16 selectable channels are available on the 72-76 MHz frequency, with operating range up to 150 feet. Optional neckloop makes Motiva™ compatible with most telecoil-equipped hearing aids. A versatile 3.5mm jack allows a variety of earphones and head gear.
The Motiva™ 360 Systems features a sensitive environmental microphone which improves signal-to-noise ratio and allows users to “focus” more clearly on the voices and sounds they want to hear – particularly when background noise or distance from the source make listening difficult. Designed for active lifestyles, Motiva™ allows users to stay connected to their world wherever they go. The System is ideal for TV and audio listening, car conversations and restaurants. In classrooms, Motiva™ maximizes students’ ability to hear the teacher’s message clearly, improving learning. No-slip rubberized sides ensure easy handling.
At Audiology Now, Williams Sound provided wireless FM and infrared hearing assistance for general sessions and learning workshops. “For participants with hearing loss our products worked flawlessly”, said President and CEO Paul Ingebrigsten. “We were proud to be an official sponsor of this important gathering again in 2009.”
Williams Sound products for consumers include “Pocketalker® Personal Amplifier”, “SoundPlus® TV Infrared System”, “Teletalker™ Amplified Telephone” and Motiva Personal FM™”.
