New SoundPlus™ RX22-4 Receiver from Williams Sound Brings Innovation to Infrared Listening Systems

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN – Showcased in a stylish, charcoal-black ergonomic case, the SoundPlus RX22-4 is the latest infrared receiver innovation to emerge from Williams Sound.

The four-channel receiver, operating on 2.3/2.8/3.3/3.8 MHz, will meet the growing demands of language interpretation, hearing assistance and audio description needs in the commercial sound marketplace.

The RX22-4 keeps with Williams Sound tradition of offering intuitive, easy-to-use product. Product features include an integrated on/off/volume control, earphone jack, and low battery indicator. Removable lanyard clip allows for hands-free operation.
The stylish design of the RX22-4 is worth praise, but at center stage is clearly the receiver’s performance. When used with a Williams Sound TX90 transmitter or TX9 emitter, in single-channel mode, the RX22-4 receiver will operate up to 28,000 ft2 (2601 m2).

The RX22-4 will challenge people’s notion of traditional infrared products, where audio quality is seen as dependent on having a clear line-of-sight path between transmitter and receiver. The RX22-4’s unique case design allows the infrared light to be received at all angles of the product. Coupled with ultra sensitive infrared receptors, the RX22-4 provides for an almost uninterrupted, FM-like experience.

The RX22-4 comes with a 5-year factory warranty, and fulfills ADA (Americans with Disabilities) and DDA (The Disability Discrimination Act) requirements for hearing assistance. Environmentally friendly, the RX22-4 is RoHS approved for lead-free compliance.
