Williams Sound's New Wireless TV Infrared Listening System will Change How People Use the Television

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN – We all know a friend or family member who has a tendency to turn up the volume on the TV too loudly, perhaps because they are hard of hearing, or perhaps they like to watch the television from a distance while doing other activities.  This may serve the listener of the television show just fine, but it often can aggravate the other family members in the household (and sometimes neighbors) while they attempt to tune out the noise.

Another common problem with television listening occurs between married couples: where one spouse enjoys watching television in bed, and the other spouse attempts to read a book, relax, or more often than not, sleep, but can not do so because of the bothersome noise from the television speaker.

Sound familiar?

In these cases, spending “time” with a family member can become a real frustration, even an obstacle in the relationship.

Thankfully, with devices such as Williams Sound’s new SoundPlus™ TV Listening System, listening to the TV can be enjoyable again – and not at the expense of others.

The SoundPlus™ TV Listening System allows a person to listen to their favorite television program discretely, without the need to increase the volume on the external television speaker.  And the television listener can enjoy the program at the volume of their need and comfort level.

“This is a product every household should have,” according to Kathy Callies, National Sales Manager at Williams Sound.

“Everyone has their favorite television show that they watch, but it doesn’t have to be at the inconvenience of others in the room.  This is an inexpensive way for anyone to listen to the television without disrupting others.”

How The System Works:

The SoundPlus™ TV Infrared Listening System connects directly to the television, VCR, or DVD player using standard RCA audio cables.  Listeners wear a wireless under-the-chin style “receiver” to pick up the television program by way of an invisible infrared audio signal.  The listener is then free to move about – without the worry of missing a word of the program.  Background noise is greatly reduced, which improves the overall listening experience.

Each receiver on the SoundPlus™ TV Listening System features its own volume control, and it turns on/off automatically when worn, so it can never be left on accidentally to drain the batteries.  When the listener is done watching the television program, they simply drop the receiver back on to the transmitter’s charging cradle, and it will be ready to use the next time it is needed.

When compared to other TV listening systems on the market, the SoundPlus™ TV Infrared Listening System stands out in character and performance.  One, the audio quality on the SoundPlus™ system is exceptional. Stereo, hi-fi operation, each receiver features angled acoustic earphones for the optimal listening experience. Lightweight, the under-the-chin style receiver can be worn for hours without discomfort; and comes in a stylish, compact design that will fit nicely on top of most televisions or audio equipment.

The SoundPlus™ TV Infrared Listening System is available for purchase at authorized Williams Sound dealers worldwide.
